Exciting new partnership for State women

The West Australian Football Commission has established an exciting new partnership with All Saints College in Bullcreek as the premier training venue for all of the State female 16s, 18s and Open Women’s players.

Acting Principal Father Braden Short was delighted to offer the high performance teams a home that can continue the fine work their Physical Education Department is doing with female football.

2012 WAFC Youth Girls Carnival

The 2012 WAFC Youth Girls Carnival is being played on Sunday 16/9/2012 at Sutherlands Oval in Gosnells.

Interested girls will need to play in their representative district teams and must be between the ages of 13 – 17 years.

We currently have 11 teams involved in the all-day competition that begins at 9.00am with the Grand Finals being played from 4.10pm.

Games are 2 x 15 mins halves with all teams playing a minimum of 4 games in the one day.

Titans take out women’s title

Coastal Titans claimed premiership honours in the West Australian Women’s Football League Grand Final after a convincing win over East Fremantle last Sunday, August 26.

Titans player Sarah Noga won the Louise Knitter Award as Best on Ground, while Kiara Bowers lead the way on the scoreboard with three goals to help set up the 58-point win.

Coastal Titans storm in to WAWFL Grand Final

THE Coastal Titans have stormed into the WAWFL League and Reserves Grand Finals with convincing wins over Swan Districts over the weekend.

After finishing the season undefeated, League minor premiers Coastal Titans suffered a shock, one-point loss to East Fremantle in the first Semi Final, meaning they had to face off against Swan Districts in the Preliminary Final to earn their Grand Final spot.

The Titans started the match like a team with something to prove, kicking the first early on and snaring another two through Sarah Noga and 2012 WAWFL League Leading Goal Kicker Kiara Bowers to give them a 19-point lead heading into the first break.

WA Women's Football League Finals

Sunday the 12th August the WAWFL Semi Finals were played in torrential rain, spectators used sun shades as shelters. The terrible conditions really challenged each team to work outside their usual structures and play hard contested football for four quarters. This year saw the competition re-forming into a two tier structure of League and Reserves resulting in an interesting finals series.
