Nominate now for prestigious awards

The West Australian Football Commission encourages junior clubs and Auskick centres to nominate now for The Constable Care Child Safety Awards 2013.

Last year, NAB Auskick Coordinator Amy Potter took out an individual award for her outstanding work at Armadale Junior Football Club. The WAFC is hoping more football winners like Amy will emerge in 2013.

The prestigious annual event will recognise and reward the people and organisations whose work or voluntary efforts make a positive difference to child safety in Western Australia.

Richard Noble & Company kicking goals for Hurricanes

Richard Noble & Company is kicking in for the Hammond Park Junior Football Club, the Hurricanes.

The company in conjunction with Gold Estates, the developer of Eden Green, has announced a new sponsorship of the club to help junior footballers in the area to kick goals – lots of goals.

The sponsorship will help the Hurricanes buy 300 footballs so the juniors can kick, handpass and mark.

The Hammond Park Junior Football Club is just four years old but growing at a whirlwind rate as families flock to Eden Green Estate.

It started with 80 footballs – and just 20 players. By 2012, player numbers had grown to 150 – next year the club is expecting to have over 200 little Hurricanes, from 6 to 12 years old, pulling on the jumper.
