WAFL Round 12 teams and previewsFriday, June 9, 2017 - 2:01 PM

CLAREMONT Oval reopens for business while Subiaco looks to stay clear on top and there's a preliminary final rematch in Saturday's Round 12 WAFL action leading into a battle for third spot between Swan Districts and West Perth on Sunday.

There are three matches on Saturday afternoon in Round 12 of the WAFL including a rematch from last year's preliminary final with South Fremantle taking on Peel Thunder at Fremantle Community Bank Oval.

South Fremantle needs to win to remain in touch with top spot and clear in second while Peel Thunder will slip below a 50-50 record and risk slipping from the top five with a defeat.

The first game at the newly redeveloped Claremont Oval since the 2013 preliminary final will also take place on Saturday with Claremont returning from a two-week hiatus to host East Fremantle. The Tigers have lost six straight and the Sharks their last 11.

The other game on Saturday afternoon sees the eighth placed Perth host the league-leading Subiaco at Lathlain Park.

Then on Sunday, Swan Districts takes on West Perth at Steel Blue Oval with the game live on Channel 7 from 2pm. Swans currently sit third and the Falcons fourth but both hold 6-3 records with less than seven per cent separating them.

The in-form East Perth has the Round 12 bye.
