Concussion Awareness Research Tuesday, May 5, 2015 - 3:12 PM

The West Australian Football Commission, in conjunction with Murdoch University, is currently undertaking research and is seeking assistance in completing two short online surveys. The surveys will assist the WAFC in understanding the current concussion awareness levels of Youth footballers and their Parents.

In considering the best practice management of concussion in sport, the critical element remains the welfare of the player, both in the short and long term, and this study will assist us in understanding the current situation and help identify areas of improvement in the ongoing management of concussion.

Youth Player Concussion Survey

This survey is looking to gain an understanding regarding youth players awareness of the signs and symptoms of concussion. To complete the survey please CLICK HERE

Parent Concussion Survey

This survey is looking to gain an understanding regarding a parents awareness of the signs and symptoms of concussion. To complete the survey please CLICK HERE

The surveys are completely anonymous and there will be no way of identifying who has completed the survey. Murdoch University will collate and analyse the results to help us gain an understanding of the current awareness of concussion in Australian Rules football.
