WA Schools Celebrate 150 Years of Australian Football

The WAFC is partnering with WA schools to celebrate 150 years of Australian Football in 2008.

Primary schools will be invited to bring over 1500 children to Langley Park in the City of Perth to celebrate football with a series of activities, competitions and giveaways on Thursday 8 May.

Under the Medibank Private “One Seven – Move More, Eat Well” program, the theme of the day will centre on Health and Fitness, with help from Fremantle Football Club and West Coast Eagles to run football activities and will be combined with a healthy lunch and awards for participation.

Smarter than Smoking Football Development Staff will invite selected schools to participate in the fun event, which is supported by WAFC football partners NAB, Medibank Private and the City of Perth.
