How do I register my school to be involved in WAFC Football programs/competitions?

Online registration links are listed for all programs and competitions. You will receive a ‘return’ confirmation email indicating your submission has been received.

Who can I contact about more information on WAFC Football programs/competitions?

Please contact your local football development officer who can assist you with your school football program.

Is there a cost involved when registering for WAFC Football programs/competitions?

 All football programs and competitions in both primary and secondary schools are free of charge.

Are there specific programs/competitions for girls?

There are a number of program/competition options that cater for girls in mixed and girls-only formats. Please contact your local football development officer for more information

How can we get AFL players to visit our school?

Priority is given to schools with an active AFL School Ambassador and compete or participate in a WAFC endorsed program/competition.

How do we source umpires for our interschool games?

The WAFC cannot cater for the high number of primary football competitions run throughout the school year.

Selected WAFC Secondary school competitions are catered for. 

Does my school qualify for the WAFC resource subsidy scheme?

Subsidies for playing jumpers, permanent goal posts and goal post padding subsides are available to schools that have an active AFL School Ambassador and complete or participate in a WAFC endorsed program/competition. Registration is via the online forms under the schools program section of our website.

How do I apply for Interschool travel subsidies?

Schools can apply for travel assistance once their WAFC endorsed interschool competition has concluded.

Applications need to:

1.Be on school letterhead

2.State the competition participated in

3.State the number of kilometeres travelled throughout the competition.

What is the AFL Quiz?

The AFL Quiz is a skill-based experience designed for your students.

It is an exciting, interactive, team-oriented program that resonates with the interests of young people by framing the learning around the context of Australian Football.

Teachers can register the AFL Quiz via our online registration link.

Can I do footy in the classroom?

The WAFC offers a number of activities for the classroom. Registration is via the online forms under the schools program section of our website.

How can I access free footballs?

A number of WAFC endorsed programs/competitions have “free resources” linked to them. Please contact your local football development officer for more information.

Who is the WAFC?

The West Australian Football Commission is the caretaker of football throughout the State and is responsible for the overall development of the game.

Can I get tickets to an AFL game?

The WAFC cannot provide AFL game day tickets to schools.

What programs/competitions are available for country schools?

All WAFC programs/competitions cater for Regional schools. Please contact your local football development officer for more information.

My school is small. How can I do football-related programs and competitions?

The WAFC offer a wide range of programs/competitions that cater for both large and smaller populated schools. Please contact your local football development officer for more information.
