Peel Thunder replace Williams with caretaker coach

The Peel Thunder Football Club announced today that Senior Coach Mr. Trevor Williams has been released from his contractual duties effectively immediately.

Peel Thunder President Mr John Ditchburn stated: “This was a very difficult decision and not one that the board has taken lightly”.

“Trevor Williams has been a huge part of the history of the Peel Thunder Football Club, including two premierships as coach of the colts in 2004 & 2005. Trevor is greatly respected by all involved with Peel Thunder”.

Ditchburn stated that “At the beginning of the year, as in every year, the Football Operations Sub-Committee set KPIs for the senior football operations. Unfortunately the performances of the senior squad this year have been well below these expectations”.

Ditchburn advised that former league assistant coach Mark Moody will be the caretaker coach for the remainder of the 2012 season.
