WA Football is delighted to announce a new partnership with leading national insurance provider AAMI, who will become an integral supporter of grassroots, Talent and State-league levels in Western Australia.
AAMI is locked in as Naming Rights Partner of the AAMI WA Football State Talent Program as well as Premier Partner of the WAFL, WAFLW and WAFL Colts competitions and Junior Football in 2026.
WA Football CEO Michael Roberts said the partnership would be extremely beneficial for footy across the State.
“We’re delighted to have the backing of AAMI in an exciting new partnership for 2026,” Roberts said.
“Not only will AAMI become Naming Rights Partner of our boys and girls Talent programs, they’re also committed to supporting our WAFL, WAFLW and WAFL Colts competitions and Junior Football as a Premier Partner, highlighting their passion and dedication to growing our great game from grassroots to the elite level.
“We’re looking forward to working collaboratively with AAMI to bring some new initiatives across our Talent programs, WAFL competitions and Junior Football.”
Mim Haysom, EGM Brand & Customer Experience at Suncorp, said the partnership reflected AAMI’s ongoing commitment to the game of AFL.
“We’re proud to partner with the WAFL and deepen our commitment to football in Western Australia,” Haysom said.
“As an insurance brand built on protecting communities, AAMI sees a natural connection with the WAFL and the vital role it plays in supporting clubs, players and volunteers at every level – from juniors through to elite – helping footy to thrive right across the state.
“Community football brings people together, and through this partnership we’re excited to support local clubs and the wider WA football community both on and off the field.”
As part of the AAMI WA Football State Talent Program partnership, AAMI’s involvement will see player grants offered to Indigenous and multi-cultural players to assist them with their journey in football, along with content creation from our under-age boys and girls programs to shine a light on rising stars in WA. Later into 2026, an AAMI-branded Player Draft media campaign will feature written articles from key WA players participating in the AFL and AFLW Draft process.
There will also be plenty of exciting new initiatives for fans throughout the WAFL, WAFLW and WAFL Colts seasons, highlighted by weekly branded digital AAMI Rookies posts profiling all the emerging talents in the WAFL and WAFLW, activations, competitions and giveaways at marquee WAFL games and the AAMI Dash for Cash activation at the WAFL Grand Final, offering fans the chance to sign up and if selected, take part on the day and score a cash prize.
