Six WA players selected for AFLW 18s All-Australian team

Six WA Mundella AFL Women’s State 18s players have been selected for the AFLW 18s All-Australian team following the conclusion of the NAB AFLW National State 18s Championships.

Mikayla Bowen, Sabreena Duffy, Matilda Sergeant, Rikki Ryan, Kate Bartlett and McKenzie Dowrick were named All-Australians after their impressive performances over the Championship series.

Sabreena Duffy, pictured, was named the WA MVP.

WA celebrated three victories over their five-match Championship campaign, with wins against Queensland and the Eastern Allies.

WA fell short to Victoria Country in their final clash today, July 13. The Victorians held onto the lead throughout the entire match and ran home with a comfortable 7.12 (54) to 2.5 (17) victory.

Duffy was WA’s best for the match with 16 disposals, two tackles and two inside-50s. Emma O’Driscoll, Taylor Pescud, and Matilda Sergeant were among WA’s best, along with McKenzie Dowrick and Caitlin Hill.
