WA’s State 16s have secured a dominant 54-point win over Victoria Country in their final 2018 NAB AFL National 16s Championship clash today, July 13, at the GABBA.
WA made their mark in the opening term of the clash with six goals. This strong start set the precedent for the rest of the match with WA running out 13.13 (91)- 5.7 (37) winners.
Nathan O’Driscoll was named WA’s best with 23 disposals and five tackles. Taj Schofield, Jaxon Bellchambers, Connor Avery and Owen Dann were also among WA’s best.
David Yaccob from Peel Thunder, pictured, was named the WA MVP for the Championship series.
Owen Dann kicked four goals for WA, while Connor Avery, Ayden Cartwight and Joel Western added two each.
