WAFL Round 1 teams and previews

THERE is great excitement and expectation surrounding the WAFL competition entering 2017 with Round 1 of the McDonald’s Premiership Season taking place this Saturday.

All four Round 1 matches are on Saturday starting with Swan Districts playing Perth at Steel Blue Oval at 2.15pm. At the same time at East Fremantle Oval, East Fremantle battles Claremont.

Then at 4.15pm at Fremantle Community Bank Oval, South Fremantle hosts Subiaco in a rematch of last year’s second semi-final.

It is then a rematch of last year’s elimination final on Saturday night and live on 7mate will see East Perth play reigning premiers Peel Thunder at Leederville Oval.
