The countdown is on for the 2022 WAFL Women's Premiership season, with the fixtures finalised and Round 1 to take place on the weekend of February 19.
In a significant move for the WAFLW, the competition has expanded to 7 teams in 2022, with West Perth fielding a side in the league competition, creating a 17-round home and away fixture.

The WAFLW Competition will continue to allow for non-selected AFLW players to compete in the WAFLW competition, while some players may also return to their WAFLW clubs at the conclusion of their AFLW campaign.
An opening round home game for Peel Thunder will see the club unveil the club's 2021 Premiership flag as the club begins its attempt to win a third consecutive Premiership.
Other highlights include the Dhara Kerr Cup, featuring Claremont and Swan Districts in Round 1, a Grand Final re-match between Peel Thunder and Swan Districts in Round 5 as well as Reconciliation Round in Round 15.
The first of two Fremantle Derbies will be staged in Round 6.
In a sign of the growth of WAFLW League Competition, Champion Data will be used for the first time to compile statistical information for clubs, players, supporters and be available to access via the WAFL App.
WAFC Executive Manager WAFL an Talent, Scott Baker believes the WAFLW competition has gained great traction and momentum heading into it's fourth year.
"Over the past three years WAFLW has been extremely successful in providing opportunities for hundreds of aspiring female footballers across the state" Baker said.
"To have more than 60,000 fans watch matches live streamed last season, plus over 32,000 viewers for Channel 7''s Grand Final coverage, illustrates the interest WAFLW is generating."
The Seven Network will again broadcast the WAFLW Grand Final live and free in July.
