Ian brings considerable commercial and financial experience to his role as WAFC Commissioner, this is complimented by an understanding of football gained through, playing and umpiring in several of the football competitions in Western Australia. Ian has recently retired after 11 years as the Chief Operating Officer of Curtin University and is the Deputy Chair of Landgate. Ian has a broad commercial knowledge, skill base and experience gained from CEO, COO and CFO roles across a variety of industries. As a Chartered Accountant and drawing on experience from his executive and Board roles, Ian brings to the Commission sound financial, commercial and strategy skills with a significant people and culture, health and safety, audit, risk management, digital innovation and governance background upon which to draw.

Dixie brings contemporary marketing, media, data, digital and communication expertise to the Commission, along with a sound understanding of Australian/WA Government structure and policy, crisis management skills, and extensive traditional media knowledge and relationships.
Dixie is chair of leading government relations company, GRA Partners, a board director and chief growth officer of the Marketforce Group, a commissioner of the Australian Sports Commission, a Non-Executive Director of Frontier Energy Limited (ASX:FHE) and Lotus Resources (ASX:LOT).

Martina’s son has grown up playing football from Auskick through to senior community football, which has provided her with an insight to the grassroots of football.

Michelle has served the community in a variety of leadership roles over a career spanning more than 40 years, including 34 years with the WA Police Force. With experience in both in government and community organisations, she has an outstanding track record of driving successful business operations and enhancing corporate productivity. In addition to her role of Commissioner with the Western Australia Football Commission, Michelle is a non-executive Director of Parkerville Youth and Care Inc. supporting vulnerable children, young people, adults, and their families in WA.
In 2017 Michelle was awarded a Telstra Businesswomen’s Award for the Public Sector and Academia. Michelle was honoured in the 2021 Queen’s Birthday Honours with an Australian Police Medal in recognition of her service and achievements within the WA Police Force

Phil has been involved in WA football 48 years, including as a player of 227 WAFL league games for Subiaco Football Club, and being vice-captain of the Lions’ 1986 Premiership. He was also a selector at WAFL club and interstate level. Upon retirement from playing, Phil commenced a career in the media which spanned 30 years, as a radio and television commentator of WAFL and AFL matches. He was also a member of, and for some time, Chair of the WAFL Match Review Panel for 14 years. Phil possesses a combination of knowledge and experience across the various aspects of the game, an affinity with the clubs, club personnel, as well as many of the important stakeholders in WA football. Phil has been self-employed for over 37 years, as Managing Director of Bay Financial Services, a finance broking company specialising exclusively in negotiating and arranging the financing of vehicles, plant and equipment for businesses. He was also the Founder and Managing Director of White Line Management, formed in 1995, which managed and supported listed AFL and aspiring AFL Footballers, as well as athletes from various disciplines, until 2020

Since 2016, Will has been a Member of the WAFL Tribunal as well as an Australian Olympic Committee Tribunal Member for Athlete Selection Appeals in the Tokyo and Paris Olympics and a Member of the Australian and New Zealand Sports Law Association. Will has played football his entire life at varying levels including stints at the Eastern Ranges, TAC Cup, Camberwell Grammar School, First XVIII and Melbourne University’s ‘’Uni Blues’’, VAFA A Grade. He is passionate about advocating for the growth and development of football at all levels of the community in Western Australia.
