“The broadcasts will ensure the widest possible audience will see the best female talent across the country as we prepare for the inaugural national women’s competition in 2017.

“Following the success of the first ever national broadcast of a women’s AFL match last year, I’m sure footy fans will be keen to see this exciting development of our game.”

A national broadcast schedule including channel platform and programming times will be issued in the lead up to each match.

FOX SPORTS CEO Patrick Delany said: “These exhibition matches are a fantastic addition to our all-encompassing coverage, adding to AFL fans’ insatiable appetite for footy.”

Crocmedia will supply radio coverage of all matches of the 2016 Women’s Exhibition Series which will also be radio streamed live via afl.com.au.
