The West Australian Football Commission is proud to announce Perth Football Club will join the WAFLW competition in 2025.

The Demons will join the eight other WAFL clubs in fielding both a Rogers Cup and League side, increasing the competition to nine teams.

WAFC Executive Manager – Football Operations, Scott Baker said this expansion provides more opportunities for female players across the state.

“This is a fantastic milestone for Perth Football Club, our fans and more importantly our talented players,” Baker said.

“Female players coming through the pathway now have a clearer road to the WAFLW, offering a chance to compete in the highest level of competition in the state outside of the AFLW.”

Perth joined the Rogers Cup in 2023 and have quickly progressed, having won six games in the 2024 season.

The Demons recorded big victories over second placed East Fremantle in Round 5 and fourth placed Swan Districts in Round 12.

Perth was in the spotlight at the WAFLW Awards, with forward Shante Anderson winning the Rogers Cup Leading Goal Kicker award alongside South Fremantle’s Nicole Taylor-Thorpe.
