Peel Thunder beat Subiaco by four points in a thriller at Domain Stadium to open WA Day Round 12 of the 2016 WAFL Premiership Season on Sunday.
It was the first WAFL game to take place at Domain Stadium this season and proved to be a thrilling battle between the two finalists from last year.
On the Monday WA Day public holiday East Fremantle defeated South Fremantle 13.12 (90) to 6.15 (51) in the traditional derby in front of more than 5,000 fans at Fremantle Community Bank Oval.
Perth rose to the occasion at Steel Blue Oval to beat Swan Districts 11.20 (86) to 4.8 (32) while West Perth scored its sixth win in a row after it defeated East Perth 11.9 (75) to 5.14 (44) in front of more than 3,000 fans at HBF Arena.
