There were just the three games in Round 11 of the WAFL season over the weekend with Claremont, East Perth, West Coast and West Perth having the bye.

The three games that did take place saw statements being made by the winning teams beginning with Peel Thunder beating Perth 12.12 (84) to 5.10 (40) at Lane Group Stadium.

Aaron Clarke returned to kick two goals for the Demons and Corey Byrne had 36 disposals.

The other game on Saturday took place at Steel Blue Oval with Swan Districts and South Fremantle paying tribute to the legendary John Todd following his passing last week having coached both clubs to premierships.

The clubs have been playing for the cup named in his honour since 1999, but that has now become the John Todd Memorial Cup and it was Swan Districts who retained it with the 10.12 (72) to 6.9 (45) victory against South Fremantle.

Brad Lynch kicked four goals for Swans and Jackson McLachlan three as Nik Rokahr had another 29 disposals.
