Free entry to Foxtel Cup Grand Final at Patersons Stadium

Spectators can witness the Foxtel Cup Grand Final for FREE at Patersons Stadium this Thursday night when the two top State League teams in the country go head-to-head for $60,000 cash.

The game between Claremont (WAFL) and Werribee (VFL) kicks off at 7.35pm on Thursday, August 2 with free entry through Gate 26 from 7pm.

The game will also be broadcast LIVE on FOX FOOTY from 7.30pm WST and by WAFL broadcast partner Sport FM 91.3fm.

Claremont was runner-up in the inaugural Foxtel Cup competition in 2011, losing last year’s final to Williamstown, and won its way through to the 2012 Grand Final with victories over West Adelaide, Mt Gravatt and Port Melbourne.

Werribee, which qualified for inclusion in the competition for the first time this year, won its place in the final with successes against Burnie, West Perth and Morningside.

The winner of the 2012 Grand Final will collect a $60,000 prize. Under competition rules, matches are quarters each of 18 minutes set time, plus time-on from the last 3 minutes only (20 minutes approximately total per quarter).
