WAFL"
Claremont enters the 2026 WAFLW season as the team to beat again as they chase an unprecedented three consecutive premierships.
With Perth entering the WAFLW in 2025, nine clubs will again compete next year as part of an 18 round season, beginning in late March and finishing in late August.
Highlights of the season include the Grand Final re-match between Claremont and Swan Districts at Revo Fitness Stadium in Round 1, which will coincide with the Tigers unfurling the 2025 Premiership flag and the clubs competing for the Dhara Kerr Cup.
The annual State Game between WA and South Australia is set down for May 16 in Perth as the West Australians attempt to avenge a narrow defeat to the Croweaters at the Adelaide Oval this year.

The WAFLW season also features matches as part of NAIDOC Week as well as games being played on the WA Day long weekend in June.
The fixture will also include several games which will be scheduled as twilight or night matches.
The 18-round home-and-away season will be completed on Saturday, August 1, with the finals series beginning on Saturday, August 8.
The Grand Final has been set down for the weekend of August 22/23 at a venue to be confirmed.
Luke Sanders, Head of Competitions at WA Football, is expecting further growth in the competition as the WAFLW.
“The standard of the WAFLW continues to improve and last season’s exciting Grand Final between Claremont and Swan Districts was a fitting end to a great finals series which featured so many matches decided by less than a goal,” Sanders said.
“WA Football believes the skills and depth of talent across the League will continue to improve with the nine-team competition offering a highly competitive environment with the prospect of players progressing to the AFLW.”
