As part of World Suicide Prevention Week, the West Australian Football Commission is offering a free Live Life Ambassador Mental Health Training session to members of the football community.

With suicide accounting for 20 per cent of deaths for males aged 15-24, it is important that as a community we work to lower this number.

As coaches, volunteers, teachers and support staff are all in regular contact with young males and females, they are in a position to impact on their lives.

When: 11th September

Time: 6:00pm – 8:00pm

Where: Bill Walker Room, Patersons Stadium (Enter Gate 5)

  • Have a strong knowledge of what Mental Health, Depression & Anxiety is;
  • Have an understanding of how this affects people’s life;
  • Be able to recognise the warning signs of mental illness;
  • Have the knowledge and resources to refer those in need to help
