Eight WA boys and eight WA girls will join other leading Draft prospects in Melbourne this week for the 2025 Telstra AFL Draft Combine and 2025 Telstra AFLW Draft Combine.

Claremont’s Cody Curtin, Perth’s Koby Evans, Leon Kickett and Tylah Williams from Swan Districts, West Perth pair Sam Swadling and Jacob Farrow, along with Subiaco’s Wesley Walley and South Fremantle’s Fred Rodriquez will take part in the boys testing.

In the girls, East Fremantle’s Alicia Blizard, Peel Thunder’s Evie Cowcher, Subiaco duo Olivia Crane and Olivia Wolmarans, Claremont’s Juliet Kelly, Swan Districts Carys D’Addario, plus West Perth’s Mia Russo and South Fremantle’s Renee Morgan will be out to impress AFLW scouts.

The national Draft Combine events will each take place across three days and will showcase the most talented Draft-eligible footballers ahead of this year’s Telstra AFL Draft in November and Telstra AFLW Draft in December.

The 2025 Telstra AFLW Draft Combine for girls will be held from Wednesday, October 1 to Friday, October 3 and will feature 48 players from across Australia, in addition to Irish duo Aoife Horisk and Mary-Kate Lynch.

Players attending the national Draft Combine will engage in club interviews and medical screenings at the MCG throughout Wednesday and Thursday, with a 2km time trial to be conducted at the AIA Centre on Wednesday afternoon.

The remainder of physical testing will be conducted at the State Netball and Hockey Centre on Friday.
The timing of the Telstra AFLW Draft Combine avoids scheduling clashes with this weekend’s NAB AFLW Round 8 matches.

The 2025 Telstra AFL Draft Combine for boys will be held from Friday, October 3 to Sunday, October 5 and features 69 players, with every state and territory across Australia represented.

Irish pair Cillian Bourke and Ruairi Forbes will also take part in the national Draft Combine.

Players attending the national Draft Combine will engage in club interviews and medical screenings at the MCG on Friday and Saturday, with a 2km time trial to be performed at the AIA Centre on Friday afternoon.

The remainder of physical testing will be conducted at the State Netball and Hockey Centre on Sunday. Testing will include vertical jumps, 20m sprint, and the agility test.
