WA’s State 18 side has completed its preparations for the opening game of the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championship – Boys with a victory over the Claremont Reserves at Mineral Resources Park.
WA ran out winners by 33 points 12.10 (82) to 7.7 (49) as the final hit-out before facing The Allies this weekend.
WA kicked five goals to one in the final quarter.
East Fremantle’s Luke Urquhart led the way with 19 disposals for WA, while Subiaco’s Malakai Champion, Colby McDonald from Swan Districts and Claremont’s Aiden Riddle all booted two goals.
WA plays the Allies in their opening game at the National Championships in Blacktown in NSW on Sunday June 2 from 10am WST.
