The 2017 Deppro WA State 16s and State 18s Academy squads were officially presented with their State jumpers at Domain Stadium on Tuesday, May 30.
More than 250 people attended the event to support this year’s players as they proudly received their Black Swan jumpers from former Academy players Griffin Logue (Swan Districts / Fremantle Dockers) and Aaron Black (West Perth / Sandover Medallist).
Leadership groups were then announced for each squad with Peel Thunder’s Aaron Naughton and West Perth’s Oscar Allen named co-captains of the State 18s and Deven Robertson (Perth) and Rhai Arn Cox (East Perth) named State 16’s captain and vice captain.
Teams will be selected from the 16s and 18s squads to represent WA at the AFL National Championships in June and July.
