Subiaco through to third consecutive WAFL Grand Final

Subiaco Football Club has progressed to its third consecutive Grand Final following a 40-point win over South Fremantle at Medibank Stadium.

Leigh Kitchin lead the way for the Lions with 35 disposals, while livewire forward Liam Ryan booted four goals.

They received great support from Lachlan Delahunty and Chris Phelan, who had 25 possessions each. Clancy Wheeler also made an impact with three goals.

Tim Kelly was South Fremantle’s leading possession winner with 30 disposals, while Ben Saunders and Blaine Johnson kicked three goals each.

South Fremantle play Peel Thunder in the Preliminary Final (September 18) at Fremantle Community Bank Oval after the Thunder disposed of West Perth by 60 points in the 1st Semi Final at HBF Arena.

Connor Blakely (35 possessions) and Matt De Boer (31) starred for Peel in the midfield, while Gerald Ugle was on target up forward with three goals.

In the Reserves, East Perth are through to the Grand Final after defeating Claremont, while Claremont’s Colts progressed to the Redimed Colts Grand Final with a win over Perth.

Perth play East Perth in the Redimed Colts Preliminary Final and East Fremantle and Claremont will meet in the Reserves Preliminary Final.
