Pokemon Go at the WAFL

Looking for Pokemon? You might find some at your nearest WAFL club, if the players don’t get them first!

We’re challenging footy fans to catch as many Pokemon as they can at a footy game and upload a picture of their caught Pokemon on social media (Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram) using the hashtag #WAFLPokemonGo.

The winner with the best entry will receive their very own Burley football to kick around.

Terms and Conditions

This document contains the Terms and Conditions under which the West Australian Football Commission (ABN 51 167 923 136) (Promoter) will offer rewards under its Pokemon Go at the WAFL (Competition).

The Competition commences at 4:00 pm (WST) on Thursday July 21, 2016 and concludes at 6.00 pm (WST) Monday 29 August 2016 (Competition Period).

The Competition is open to any person or persons and who complete the following steps:

  • UPLOAD a picture of Pokemon caught on Facebook, Instagram and/or Twitter
  • TAG the entry using #WAFLPokemonGo in the caption
  • Complies with these Terms and Conditions.

All Participants enter subject to, and will need to adhere to, these Terms and Conditions as set out by the Promoter and any future Terms and Conditions or alterations to these Terms and Conditions as set out by the Promoter.

Prize

In this competition, commencing 4:00 pm (WST) on Thursday July 21, 2016, the winner will be announced and contacted on Tuesday August 30, 2016.

Entries received outside of this period will be deemed invalid and will not count towards the competition.

The Promoter will deem at its absolute discretion the most creative entry and the winner will receive one Burley football.

General Terms

Participants are entitled to submit multiple entries throughout the Competition Period.

The winning Participant will be notified through the social media channel from which they entered the Promotion.

If a winning Participant of the prizes does not respond to the Promoters notification within 24 hrs of the Promoter notifying them that they were a winner, the Participant will no longer be entitled to the prize and the prize will be re-awarded to the Participant with the next best entry.

The prizes are not transferable for cash or interchangeable for another prize.

If any of the prizes are unavailable, the Promoter has the right to substitute it with a prize of equal or similar value.

The Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, extend or suspend the Competition at any time without notice.

By participating in this Competition, Participants acknowledge that they may be required to sign the Terms and Conditions of the prize issuer in order to redeem the prize. Participants agree to comply with those Terms and Conditions, including but not limited to any expiry date, and release and indemnify the Promoter for any liability in relation to the prize or the issuer.

The Promoter accepts no responsibility should injury or an accident occur as a result of the Competition. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Participant releases the Promoter and its Related Bodies Corporate (as defined in the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth)) from any loss or damage incurred by the Participant arising from the Competition and the use of the prize, including but not limited to:

  • personal injury and property damage
  • any tax liability incurred by the Participant;
  • if the prize is a gift voucher, the failure by the issuer to honour the gift voucher; or the Terms and Conditions under which a prize is issued.

By entering the Competition, the entrants hereby give the Promoter consent to use their name, likeness or image (including photograph or recording) (should they be the Winner or Replacement Winner) for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition. A photo may be taken of the Winners (or Replacement Winners).
