More than 350 Aboriginal players aged 12-15 will take part in this year’s Nicky Winmar Carnival coordinated by the West Australian Football Commission and supported by RediMed.

The carnival will commence on Sunday March 6 with players from teams representing both metropolitan and regional WA taking part in a round robin tournament at Bendigo Bank Stadium in Mandurah.

The carnival will also provide a selection platform for the AFL National Kickstart Championships and feature a Female Exhibition Match between North and South teams consisting of Aboriginal women aged 17 and over.

Players from this match will be selected for the Indigenous All Star Team which will play in the Women’s Two Way Learning Match against the WAWFL All Stars later this year.
