The West Australian Football League State 18s play Victoria Country at 12pm at Medibank Stadium this Sunday, May 31 in Round 2 of the NAB AFL National 18s Championships. The team will be aiming to repeat WA’s Round 1 success, which was a thrilling one-point win against South Australia at Lathlain Park.
OUTS: Jesse Glass-McCasker (hamstring), Noah Hura (rotated*), Jake Taylor (rotated*)
*The NAB AFL National Championship rotation policy specifies that 30 players must play a minimum of 2 games over the course of the 6-game Championships
POSSIBLE INCLUSIONS:
Jordan Snadden – NAB AFL Academy player who is a strong bodied midfielder with elite speed and a strong contested ball winner.
Clint Hinchliffe – offered an U19s National Cricket Scholarship but decided to play football instead. An inside mid with quick hands and good decision making.
Chad Daniels – versatile medium forward / midfielder with great leadership and good skills by hand and foot under pressure. Does not shy away from a contest and is a real impact player.
Cameron Zurhaar – power forward who can take a strong overhead mark and play a hard running game. Very difficult to match up on.
Jarred Mason – developing tall with elite athletic abilities. Has the ability at 197cm to play as a mobile ruckman, key forward or key back. Exciting talent with tremendous upside.
