WAFL"
The 2015 Carlton Draught WAFL Squad has been narrowed down to 27 for this Saturday’s State Game against the South Australian National Football League.
The record between the two States stands at 46 wins each from 92 games over more than 100 years.
This year’s game will be played at 2.15pm at Lathlain Park and broadcast via live stream on the WAFL website, hosted by WAFL commentator Glenn Mitchell and South Australian commentator Phil Aspinall, with expert comments from former Subiaco leading goal kicker Rod Willett. The game will also be broadcast on radio by Sport FM 91.3fm and Life FM 107.9fm in Adelaide.
Tickets to the game can be purchased at the gate: Adults $15, WAFL Club members/Concession $12, Child under 16 FREE, Student Edge 2 for 1.
Players added to the squad this week include Cory Dell’Olio (South Fremantle), Darren Rumble (Subiaco) and Kirk Ugle (Swan Districts). Tallan Ames (Swan Districts) and Ben Saunders (South Fremantle) were ruled out last night with injury concerns.
Players unlucky not to be included in the squad of 27 were Brendon Jones (Peel Thunder), Rory O’Brien (East Fremantle), Steven Payne (East Perth), Laine Rasmussen (West Perth), Matt Riggio (Swan Districts) and Gerald Ugle (Peel Thunder).
The squad will be reduced to 25 for a final training session and jumper presentation on Thursday, May 21.
