Following a 227 AFL career with West Coast and Collingwood, Quinten Lynch has been appointed Playing Coach at Trinity Aquinas for 2015.
Despite a number of offers from various clubs, the former Aquinian chose to return to his roots and put something back into amateur football.
Lynch is excited about the Trinity Aquinas playing list and the prospect of leading the club to its first A-Grade premiership.
Former Trinity Aquinas Colts coach Daniel Spencer, son of Sandover Medalist Peter Spencer, returns to the club as senior assistant coach to Lynch.
Spencer coached the colts to back-to-back premierships in 2010 and 2011.
He also coached the Swan Districts’ Colts in the WAFL from 2012 to 2013.
Trinity Aquinas’ President Andrew Edwards is pleased with the announcement.
“We’re excited that Quinten has chosen to help improve our club and we’re also looking forward to seeing him pull on an Aquinas jumper again,” he said.
Edwards believes the Lynch/Spencer appointment is a winning combination that will ensure a successful 2015 season.
