AFL Superkick

All the fun of footy, made super!

Superkick is a fun and pressure-free way for kids aged 8 – 12 years old to learn and love Australian Rules Football. Designed to focus on skills and confidence, Superkick combines training and gameplay in one easy session. No extra practice, no long travel and no stress for parents.

Held after school or at local footy clubs, Superkick give kids the chance to get active, make friends and develop their footy skills in a supportive environment that’s all about participation and enjoyment.

Superkick keeps the best parts of Aussie Rules, kicking, marking, handballing and teamwork, while leaving out the tackling. Smaller teams of 5 – 9 players mean more touches, more involvement and more fun. It’s the perfect way for primary schoolers to build confidence and love for the game in a safe, social and exciting setting.

Frequently Asked Questions

No Australian Rules Football or previous experience is necessary.

Superkick is a great way for kids to gain confidence while developing footy and match play skills, while Auskick is more about learning AFL fundamental skills through game-based activities. Sessions for both are tailored based on pace and ability.

Superkick requires only one session at the same location each week, so it’s easy to slot into a jam-packed schedule. For junior footy, training and matches are on separate days. Superkick teams range from 5-9 players per side in modified match play, so kids learn footy and build confidence while still staying safe and having fun. Junior footy, on the other hand, is full AFL, but tailored to a smaller footballer.

Season dates differ by location, please visit the club finder to find your local centre.
