CLAREMONT, East Perth, West Coast and West Perth all return to WAFL action this weekend with the round including Swan Districts, Claremont and Peel Thunder trying to keep their impressive form going.

There will be four games in Round 12 of the 2024 WAFL season with the reigning premiers East Fremantle and Subiaco having the bye while the Tigers, Royals, Eagles and Falcons are back in action following the week off.

The action gets underway on Saturday afternoon with South Fremantle playing host to the West Coast Eagles at Fremantle Community Bank Oval.

The Bulldogs are attempting to bounce back from last week’s loss to Swan Districts while the Eagles had the break following a loss to Subiaco by 65 points.

Next up will be a fascinating match up at Steel Blue Oval with Swan Districts playing host to East Perth.

Swans have now strung three wins together to be a game and percentage clear in fifth place and building momentum while the Royals are still just percentage off top spot, but are looking to bounce back from a last up loss to Claremont.

West Perth will also be back home at Pentanet Stadium to play host to Peel Thunder with the Falcons just trying to stay in touch with the top five after three straight losses while the Thunder are out to retain top position.

Last up for Round 12 in the WAFL will be Claremont playing host to Perth at Revo Fitness Stadium.

Prior to the bye and Claremont was building impressive form with two straight wins which came against top two teams Peel and East Perth.

That has the Tigers knocking on the door of the top five ahead of taking on a Demons team having lost six straight, but Claremont coach Ash Prescott knows things are still precariously placed.

“We are in survival mode still but it was interesting earlier in the year where we just dropped a couple of games by small margins, and weren’t quite clicking together and playing desperate enough,” Prescott said.

“But it’s got back to being a little bit more like our brand and how we want to represent ourselves and the footy club the last couple of weeks which has been pleasing.

“Hopefully we can continue to build from here.”
