The West Australian Football Commission (WAFC) is pleased to announce that the 2024 WAFLW Grand Final will be staged at Pentanet Stadium in Joondalup.
The tender process involved submissions from four venues, with a strong consideration given to areas for family-friendly activations, community promotion and a variety of options for spectators to watch the matches.
After consideration of all submissions, the WAFC selected the venue based on the quality playing surface and the overall game-day experience for players and fans which Pentanet Stadium will offer.
The WAFLW Grand Final will be held on Sunday, July 7 with Rogers Cup and League teams competing for their respective premierships.
West Perth is also planning to stage a match featuring the club’s Girls Academy, which is set to be staged before the Rogers Cup Grand Final.
WAFC Executive Manager – Football Operations, Scott Baker said Pentanet Stadium emerged as the best choice to stage the event, the second time the venue has hosted the WAFLW decider.
“We’re delighted to take the game to Pentanet Stadium for the biggest day of women’s football in this state,” Baker said.
“With the competition producing the most even season on record in 2024, WAFLW is continuing to grow and improve, and people are more interested in watching and attending games.”
The WAFLW Grand Final will also be shown live on Channel 7.
