Telstra Footy Grants

Community football clubs in WA have the opportunity to share in $2 million funding per year through Telstra Footy Grants. This initiative between the AFL and Telstra aims to provide grassroot football clubs with grant to grow and assist volunteer capacity, grow and diversity participation and improve club environments and experiences.

Clubs across the state can apply for equipment and initiatives up to $2,000 to grow capacity and participation and up to $20,000 for an electronic scoreboard or behind goal netting.

Best On Road Grants

WA Football in collaboration with Country Football WA and Perth Football League have partnered with SportWest and The Road Safety Commission to provide grants to football clubs and leagues targeting new innovations to reduce the instances of road trauma on Western Australian Roads.

The partnership aims to change the road safety culture and behaviours of football players and the broader community by integrating education, behaviour change initiatives and community support to build a lasting impact on road safety culture across WA’s football community and broader population.

RDC Grants

The Metro South, Metro Central, and Metro North Regional Development Councils (RDCs) have played an important role in supporting junior football clubs across the metro area. Over the past few seasons, RDC Community Grants have made a real difference, helping clubs strengthen participation, volunteer engagement, community initiatives, and the overall game-day experience.

RDC Community Grants are designed to help clubs deliver a wide range of initiatives, including volunteer recognition and education, Indigenous and multicultural activities, young volunteer scholarships, club partnerships, and programs supporting All-Girls Auskick. These grants provide practical support to enhance participation, celebrate diversity, and recognise the contribution of volunteers within local clubs.
