WAFLW Clubs Reveal 2026 Recruits

Every club has been active during the summer to attract players for this yearโ€™s WAFLW season.

Claremont enter 2026 chasing their third consecutive premiership and remain a powerhouse of the competition.

Below are some of the new names to look out for this year as eight sides try to topple the Tigers.

CLAREMONT

Eva Campo

Ex Claremont premiership player returns after a 12-month medical placement in Geraldton where she played in a premiership for Chapman Valley FC.

Kiahn Perry

Moved to the Great Southern a few years ago after playing some Rogers Cup and WAFLW for West Perth and East Perth. Perry played with Railways FC in the GSFL last season and was outstanding for Great Southern in the Country Championships.

Maggie Smit

Great Southern product who played for Railways FC in the GSFL. The Tigers noticed her in some of their games last year. Smit also played in the Country Champs but was injured on the first day. She has moved to Perth and is completing her electrical apprenticeship.

EAST FREMANTLE

Mackenzie Webb

Highly skilled utility defender recruited from Claremont with 48 WAFL games and three AFLW games with West Coast. With strong finals and Premiership experience Webb is the complete player at 21 with outstanding athletic attributes, elite kicking skills and is a genuine competitor. She was an ideal recruiting choice for the Sharks, helping to strengthen the backline as well as providing great leadership support.

Zoe Keeley

Tall, young and mobile Keeley is a former State Academy member who has only played a handful of games at WAFL level. At 183cm she is a great addition supporting the ruck, along with key tall positions in the new East Fremantle structure.

ย Meg McAullay

A fantastic athlete with speed and endurance. Still only 19 with high level experience in the State Junior programs and 19 WAFLW games next to her name, McAullay has running power and strong kicking skills. These attributes made her a great fit for the new look playing style at East Fremantle. She is ready to take her game to the next level and will be someone to watch in 2026.

Bre Wills

With 26 games in the WAFLW at the age of 24 and outstanding running power Wills provides a great mix of athletic capability with experience that will complement the young squad. Joining the squad for a specific role in the team she also provides amazing personality, energy and support for the entire group. Wills is a quality team first player which was key in her recruitment.

Storm Johnson

With elite level experience in the Vic Metro 18s, two years in the Coates League with the Oakleigh Chargers and a former Gold Coast Academy member, Johnson is an exciting addition to the team. The highly skilled 18-year-old forward has genuine speed and agility and was recognised in the pre-draft discussions as a high-pressure player able to make things happen. One player to watch.

Abbey Partridge

Former Subiaco Rogers Cup player with 40 games, Partridge spent 2025 with the inaugural Kingsway Women’s program, winning the Best and Fairest and finishing third in the competition medal helping Kingsway to a Grand Final and promotion in their first season. With a recruiting focus on athleticism, genuine competitiveness and strong kicking skills she is ready to take on WAFLW.

EAST PERTH

Courtney Zappara

Courtney comes to East Perth after spending time away from WAFLW. Last year she headed to Donnybrook to hone her craft in the SWFL, booting 38 goals in 12 games. She is an established WAFLW football in 2024 winning the Joanne Huggins Leading Goal Kicker award in the WAFLW competition. Zappara brings energy, leadership and top end talent to the group

Hope Ugle-Hayward

Ugle-Hayward played PFL football with Curtin Uni Wesley in 2025 after playing 60 games at Swan Districts. She represented the PFL State team in Victoria and was presented with the LA Tetley Award for the best female player in the state program. Ugle-Hayward comes to the Royals with a renewed love for football and is keen to get back playing WAFLW football.

Elissa Price

Price is originally from West Perth and joins the Royals wanting a fresh outlook on football. She is a proven match winner in the WAFLW booting key goals in West Perth wins over the years. Price has a thirst for football and will make a big impact on the field in 2026

Bianca Webb

Previously in the AFL system with the Fremantle Dockers, Webb most recently played in the PFL with Ocean Ridge. East Perth is excited to give Webb the opportunity to continue her career at WAFLW level. Webb will be invaluable for East Perthโ€™s list, bringing great leadership and toughness to the Royals lineup in 2026.

Tessa Kohn

An emerging talent out of South Australia who has been developing her game through Glenelgโ€™s elite SANFLW program. A tough, inside midfielder, Kohn thrives in contested situations, bringing strong work rate, physicality and a team-first mindset around the ball. Her time in a high-performance environment has helped refine her decision-making, stoppage craft and consistency, and she continues to show impressive growth each season. With her competitiveness and commitment to improvement, Kohn shapes as an exciting prospect

Meg Brown

Joins the group off the back of an outstanding season for University, culminating with a best-on-ground performance in the PFL A Grade Grand Final. Previously part of the Subiaco FC program, Brown has consistently demonstrated her ability as a strong, contested inside midfielder with excellent footy smarts and composure around the stoppages. She reads the play exceptionally well, makes smart decisions under pressure and sets high standards with her work rate. Beyond her on-field impact, Brown brings an added level of leadership and experience to the group, helping drive professionalism and accountability across the program.

Izzy Foletta

Foletta has joined the program following a code switch from soccer (Perth Glory) to Australian Rules. She has demonstrated significant potential as a cross-code athlete and has already brought strong leadership qualities and high-performance standards to the group.

PEEL THUNDER

Kate Bartlett

Bartlett comes back to Peel after a couple of seasons enjoying some community football and winning multiple goal kicking awards. She will slot nicely back into the forward line, giving the team a good target.

Georgia Taitย 

Tait is an exciting small forward who joins Peel from the Northern Knights and Carlton VFLW. After an interrupted pre-season the Thunder canโ€™t wait to have Georgia showing her skills on game day.

Nadya Browne

A past WA State 18โ€™s player, Browne joins Peel as a fast, exciting utility player, able to play any part of the ground. After a great pre-season the club is excited to see what she can deliver.

Outside of those recruits, a number of Rogers Cup players have been promoted to the Peel WAFLW squad this season, including State 18โ€™s Summer Squad members Zaide Wilson, Tahlia Head and Maya Walsh, as well as 16-year-old Layla Scott from the South West.

PERTH

Katelyn Cox

Cox joins Perth with five seasons of AFLW experience, most recently with Richmond. A multiple top 10 Best and Fairest finisher, she is renowned for her running capacity, work rate, and football IQ. Cox has elite-level experience and leadership which will add significant quality to the squad, and with her ability to consistently influence games across multiple positions, she is set to shine as a key player in the WAFLW.

Amy Trindade

Trindade is a talented inside midfielder who comes to Perth following an outstanding VFLW season with Carlton. A consistent contributor through the midfield, she was recognised for her performances by winning the clubโ€™s Best and Fairest. Despite her young age, Trindade has already shown a strong appetite for high-performance environments, having spent time as a train-on with Carltonโ€™s AFLW program last year. Amyโ€™s ball winning ability and competitive edge position her to play an influential role throughout the WAFLW season.

Isla Baldwin

Baldwin is a hard-nosed inside midfielder who joins Perth after a strong season in the VFLW with Box Hill. Baldwinโ€™s performances were recognised with a top three finish in the clubโ€™s Best and Fairest. Known for her contested work, clean ball use and consistency, Baldwin brings a strong inside presence and is expected to play an important role within the midfield group this season.

SOUTH FREMANTLE

Ash Gomesย 

Former East Fremantle premiership captain with 141 games experience. State representation and time on the West Coast AFLW list. Gomes will bolster South Fremantleโ€™s list with experience and capability.

Natasha Entwistle

A State representative in 2024, Entwistle comes to the club after stints with East Fremantle and Sandringham in the VFLW last season. A strong tackling athlete who has spent time across half back may push into the midfield at South Fremantle.

Madison Evans

Evans is a strong marking intercept defender, who placed second in East Fremantle’s Best and Fairest last season. Rookie Me called her “one of, if not the best 19-year-old defender in the country”.

Makaela Tuhakaraina

Tuhakaraina played 17 games of AFLW with the Fremantle Dockers and has returned from a year off due to pregnancy. She has been excelling on the track and looks set for a massive year back at South Fremantle.

Mikayla Hyde

Hyde arrives at the Bulldogs from Collingwood via Fremantle with 40 games of AFLW experience and is a terrific pick up for the club.

SWAN DISTRICTS

Chloe Reilly

Joins the black and whites from East Fremantle. She will add poise and class to the sideโ€™s front half and be crucial in attack. A classy player who will play as a forward and a midfielder.

Jessica Cox

Cox, who is a previous captain of the club, is back at Steel Blue Oval in 2026. She is returning from Box Hill in the VFLW and has recovered from an ACL tear in late 2024. Cox brings back tremendous knowledge of the game, a very skilled and well-rounded player with plenty of experience that is crucial for the young group.

Ashley Sharp

Sharp is another player who is returning to the club in 2026. After 34 matches for Fremantle (2017-2022) and having had three children, she had been welcomed back into the group. A mature and classy key forward who knows her way around the goals, Sharp is another senior player who will help the young squad take the next step.

Shaya Yarran

Yarran has arrived at Swans from South Fremantle and joins her sister Summer. A member of the 2026 state 18s program Yarran will offer a spark for the side in attack. Quick, clean and agile, she is a small forward who loves to hit the scoreboard.

SUBIACO

Bridget Corcoran

The 19-year-old is a 165cm defender from GWS Giants Academy. Corcoran is a smart, attacking rebound defender with elite game awareness and good foot skills.

Annabel Johnson

The 25-year-old 167cm defender was originally drafted to Geelong as pick number 15 in the 2021 AFLW draft. Johnson moved to West Coast ahead of the 2024 season. She has played 20 AFLW matches and has great footy IQ, clean skills and plays with presence. Johnson is an intercepting defender with great character and leadership qualities.

Courtney Lindgren

The 23-year-old 174cm key forward was selected by the West Coast Eagles as an injury replacement player ahead of the 2025 AFLW squad after performing well at WAFLW level for East Perth. She comes from a high-level netball background and possess great athleticism with speed, power and overhead marking ability.

WEST PERTH

Sabreena McKinnon (nee Duffy)

McKinnon is a forward with high level skills and game experience, having played with the Fremantle Dockers and Melbourne in the AFLW. She was recruited to impact the scoreboard both herself and through her work up the ground. Will lead the Falcons set up forward of centre.

Zoe Huggett

Comes to West Perth via South Fremantle and is a dangerous tall forward who is strong overhead a great shot for goal. Huggett was recruited to hit the scoreboard and add potency to West Perthโ€™s forward half and increase the sideโ€™s scoring capacity. She will lead the Falcons forward group.

Ellee McEvoy

From Naomh Ciaran in Offaly County, McEvoy is an All-Ireland Champion in the LGFA. A highly skilled, super competitive and fast mid recruited to add grunt and class into the midfield and help keep speed on the ball. She has been part of nine titles in 10 seasons in Ireland and been playing seniors since she was 15. This is her debut Aussie Rules season.

Jorja Keen

Keen is coming off a break via Swan Districts. A highly skilled midfielder/defender recruited for her kicking skills and in game decision making. Keen uses her voice well and reads the game behind the ball. Expected to impact from half back and off the wing. Coming back from a long injury recovery.

Sienna Pollard

Moving to the club from Swan Districts, Pollard is a small defender, is solid overhead and has neat skills. She was recruited for her kicking ability and reads the play well. Pollard is expected to impact in the back half of the ground.
