Sports have long served as a powerful platform for inclusivity, personal growth, and breaking down barriers.

Over the weekend four talented individuals from Kelmscott Football Club’s Integrated Competition in the Perth Football League, received a call-up that turned an ordinary weekend into an unforgettable chapter in their sporting journeys.

Bryan Adams, Lee Maas, Trent Fleming, and Jaxon Hay were selected to play for the Club’s Reserves side in Perth Football League’s C5 Division.

This game not only highlighted their skills and dedication, but also showcased the club’s commitment to fostering an inclusive environment.

Kelmscott Football Club Integrated team has gained recognition not only for its strong sporting presence but also for its efforts to provide opportunities for players of all abilities.

The club’s Integrated Team is a testament to their commitment to inclusivity and creates a space where individuals with diverse abilities can participate and experience the joy of Australian Rules Football.

The call-up of Adams, Maas, Fleming and Hay to the Reserves side not only demonstrated their own growth and development but also underscored the club’s philosophy of promoting equality and unity through sports.

In another special moment, the players lined up alongside their club’s Integrated Coach, Rob Turner, bridging the gap between the Integrated Competition and the Reserves side.

The game didn’t quite go to Kelmscott’s plan, despite kicking the first goal of the game, North Mandurah stole the show winning 8.7 (59) to 3.7 (25).
