WA State 18s win thriller over Allies

Western Australia’s State 18s claimed a thrilling seven-point victory against the Allies in their final game of the NAB AFL National 18s Championships at Etihad Stadium last week.

WA kicked the opening three goals of the game and were 27-points up at the main break.

The Allies fought back in the final term but couldn’t overcome WA who secured a 12.6 (78) to 10.11 (71) win over the home team.

Tom Medhat starred in the forward line for WA with three goals, closely followed by Dillon O’Reilly, Mitchell Georgiades, Luke Moore and Brad Oldfield who all added two goals each.

Jordan Clark, pictured, was named the WA MVP for the Championship series.

Following the conclusion of the Championships Jordan Clark, Luke English, Jeremy Sharp and Sydney Stack were selected for the 2018 NAB AFL 18s All-Australian team.
