Level 2 Couaching Course – November 22 and 23

Online Expressions of interest for the 2014 Level 2 Coaching Accreditation Course are now open

Presenters include AFL, WAFL and State Academy Coaches along with industry experts in the field of Sports Psychology, Strength and Conditioning, Player Welfare and Injury Management.

To be eligible to undertake the Level 2 accreditation coaches must ensure they are demonstrating the appropriate coaching attitudes, behaviours and skills.

The competencies expected of a Level 2 coach clearly reflect the ability to plan, prepare, conduct, review and adapt training and match programs in the context of a yearly plan.

COURSE PREREQUISITES

  • Must be coaching at Youth (Year 8-12 ) or Senior (18+) level in season 2013
  • Coaches at the Auskick level (Year PP – 3) or Junior Rules (Years 4-7) are not eligible
  • Coaches to have completed Level 1 Youth or Senior Course
  • Necessary to have been coaching for a minimum of 3 years

The program includes practical sessions and formal presentations from experts in their fields. Organised by the WA Football Commission Game Development department in conjunction with the Australian Football Coaches Association – WA Branch (AFCA), the course will commence with the two day workshop at ECU Joondalup, and includes a variety of other education opportunities including a WAFL Tactical Game Analysis session, training feedback and match day observations. The Level 2 Accreditation Course cost is $300 and places are limited.
