WAFLW"
Delisted West Coast Eagle AFL big man Callum Jamieson has been named the club’s WAFL skipper for 2026.
Jamieson, who tallied 17 AFL appearances for the Eagles to go with 36 in the WAFL, takes over from last season’s co-captains Jack Eastough and Shannon Lucassen.
Also stepping into captaincy for the first time in a permanent capacity is Jack Sears at Peel Thunder, replacing Ben Hancock, who had been captain for four seasons.
Sears, a premiership player with the Thunder and a state representative in 2025, filled in last year for Hancock after he suffered a knee injury.

At Claremont, after four years at the helm, Declan Mountford has been replaced by Sandover Medallists Bailey Rogers and Callan England, who will share captaincy duties.
The remaining leaders have experience on their side with Hamish Brayshaw and Christian Ameduri entering their fourth consecutive season as joint skippers at East Perth.
The pair have taken the Royals to the brink of premiership success in 2024 and 2025.
Elsewhere, it comes as no surprise that premiership captain Chad Pearson returns to the role for the Bulldogs, while midfielder Kyle Baskerville is taking the reins for the second successive year at the Sharks.
Prolific ball winner Jesse Turner has been chosen as solo skipper for the second year running at Swan Districts, and Luke Meadows will once again lead the Falcons on game day.
Subiaco star Greg Clark has been given the nod by the Lions for the third straight year as the club attempts to the climb the ladder, and at Mineral Resources Park, Sandover Medallist Charlie Constable and three-time Butcher Medallist Corey Byrne will again share leadership duties for the Demons.
