2024 WAFLW Fixtures Confirmed

Anticipation is building for the start of the 2024 WAFLW season, which will be launched on the Labour Day Long Weekend in March next year.

Round 1 will be played on Saturday, March 2 with four matches scheduled.

Reigning Premiers East Fremantle will face South Fremantle in a season opening Derby at Fremantle Community Bank Oval, runner’s up Claremont will host Swan Districts at Revo Fitness Stadium, Peel Thunder and West Perth begin their campaign at Lane Group Stadium, while East Perth and Subiaco will play the first match at the newly named Sullivan Logistic Stadium (formerly Leederville Oval).

Highlights of the season include the annual Dhara Kerr Cup match between the Tigers and Swans in Round 1, a Round 3 Grand Final Re-Match between Claremont and East Fremantle at Revo Fitness Stadium, and a State Game between WA and South Australia on Saturday, May 4.

The 16-Round Home and Away Season will be completed on Saturday June 15, with the finals series beginning on Sunday, June 23.

The Grand Final has been set down for Saturday, July 6 at a venue to be confirmed.

Scott Baker, Executive Manager – Football Operations at the West Australian Football Commission, is expecting further growth in the WAFLW eight team competition.

“The standard of last season was proof of the growth of women’s football in WA, with an exciting Grand Final played between East Fremantle and Claremont,” Baker said.

“The WAFC is confident the skills and depth of talent across the League will continue to improve to ensure another highly successful year for the competition.”

WAFLW matches will again be available to watch on streamer.com.au in 2024.
