EAST Fremantle made it eight straight to move further clear on top of the WAFLW with the win over Claremont in Round 13 while West Perth shot up to second place and Swan Districts further consolidated their place in the top four.
The last month of the home and away season in the WAFLW got underway with Round 13 and there were statements made in the wins for Subiaco, West Perth, East Fremantle and Swan Districts.
The round got underway on Saturday with Subiaco making it three wins in-a-row beating Peel Thunder 9.11 (65) to 3.4 (22) at Lane Group Stadium with Hayley Corlett kicking three goals.
Next up was a thriller at Fremantle Community Bank Oval with West Perth beating South Fremantle 5.6 (36) to 5.4 (34) thanks to a late goal from Elissa Price in what was the last score of the game.
The last game for the day took place on Saturday evening in a rematch of the past two grand finals in the WAFLW.
It was East Fremantle proving too strong with the 5.3 (33) to 1.6 (12) win over Claremont at Revo Fitness Stadium to see the Sharks improve to 10-1 on the season and to move two games and percentage clear in top spot with three rounds remaining.
The round wrapped up on Sunday afternoon with Swan Districts making it back-to-back wins to remain a game clear in fourth position with the 17.12 (114) to 2.1 (13) victory against East Perth at Sullivan Logistics Stadium.
