EAST Fremantle, Claremont and Swan Districts all geared up for the WAFLW finals with big wins to close the home and away season while Subiaco finished its campaign with an impressive win at home.

The last round of the 2024 home and away season in the WAFLW still had some things to be decided coming into it with both Claremont and West Perth a chance to finish second, and Swan Districts and South Fremantle both capable of finishing fourth to make the finals.

That set up a fascinating weekend that ended up with things staying how they started with East Fremantle out clear on top at 13-1 ahead of Claremont (11-3), West Perth (9-5) and Swan Districts (8-6).

The finals get underway now this coming weekend with the first semi-final between West Perth and Swan Districts, and the second semi-final featuring East Fremantle and Claremont. The games will form a double-header on Sunday at Joondalup's Pentanet Stadium.

The last round got underway on Saturday morning with Swan Districts ending up securing a finals spot with the 10.9 (69) to 1.4 (10) win over Peel Thunder at Lane Group Stadium with Taylah Edwards kicking six goals.

Next up was East Fremantle making it 11 straight wins with the reigning premiers ending the season of South Fremantle with the 7.10 (52) to 4.4 (28) derby victory at Revo Fitness Stadium with Zippy Fish racking up another 32 possessions.

Claremont then secured second position and a finals double chance by beating East Perth 15.14 (104) to 0.2 (2) at Revo Fitness Stadium with Eva O'Donnell kicking six goals.

The home and away season wrapped up on Sunday with Subiaco finishing on a high with the 6.6 (42) to 0.9 (9) victory against West Perth at Sullivan Logistics Stadium with Olivia Wolmarans starring again with 21 disposals and two goals.
