A future star rising through the ranks, East Perth young gun Garrison Kenh is making a name for himself.
The state Under 16’s Western Australian MVP has kicked off his first full WAFL Colts season in fine form, averaging 18 disposals and breaking lines off half back for the Royals.
After seven futures games in early 2024, Kenh was promoted to the Colts side at the end of the season where he gained valuable experience as a 16-year-old.
After a full slate of pre-season games, he enters the 2025 season as one of the most promising and talented 17-year-olds in the WAFL.
In Round 1, Kenh was named in the best as East Perth recorded a 21-point victory to kick of their campaign.
The bottom-age prospect has damaging skills and uses his elite kicking to initiate forays forward, while remaining composed defensively.
With a lethal left foot and stunning vertical leap, the athletic defender is capable of using his speed and skill to kickstart East Perth.
He possesses a tremendous duo of defence and attack, competitive in the contest with a refusal to lose, but also able to stream forward and create transition offence.
Due to his reliable ball use, his teammates look to find him whenever possible, knowing they can trust Kenh to set up the rebound out of defensive 50.
At 182cm, Kenh projects as a medium to tall defender and is more than capable of competing in the air and bringing the ball to ground.
He is aerially proficient and unafraid to back himself to out-mark opponents.
Kenh plays with flair and doesn’t fit one particular style of game.
He is a running half-back, lockdown key-back and intercept defender meshed into one prospect.
This unique set of skills and ability has him front and centre in recruiters’ minds with a look ahead to the 2026 draft.

Given the level of production that Kenh has begun the season with as a bottom-ager, the development that can be expected from him over the next two years in the WAFL system could set him up with invaluable tools to become a star talent.
West Coast Eagles fans can be excited about Kenh, who is of Liberian descent and therefore a West Coast Eagles Next-Generation Academy prospect, meaning he will train under the guidance of the AFL club and gain essential knowledge of the rigours of AFL football, as well as important knowledge from some of the best footy minds going around.
A member of the State Summer Squad for this year alongside many highly touted 2025 prospects, as well as being an Under 16 AFL National Development Championships All Australian and MVP, Kenh has already carved out an impressive junior resume, and has only just begun his journey.
With a long and hopefully illustrious career ahead of him, Garrison Kenh is one to watch for East Perth over the next two years.
