Captains Give Their Predictions ahead of 2021 Optus WAFL Women’s

The captains of the six teams in the Optus WAFL Women’s competition have given their predictions on the approaching season, with Claremont and Peel expected to be favourites heading into the season.

At the Optus WAFLW Launch on Tuesday at Kings Park & Botanical Gardens, the six leaders polled on a range of questions relating to how the season will unfold.

The questions included Premier favourites, competition best & fairest, rising stars and leading goalkickers.

The full survey was conducted by the following players; Cassie Davidson (Peel), Tarnica Golisano (Subiaco), Ashleigh Gomes (East Fremantle), Lauren Vecchio (South Fremantle), Emily McGuire (Swan Districts) and Ella Smith (Claremont).

Who will kick the most goals in the competition?

2 – Aimee Schmidt (Subiaco)
2 – Kate Bartlett (Peel Thunder)
2 – Mikayla Morrison (Swan Districts)

Who will win the Cath Boyce Rookie of the Year?

3 – Lucy Gilchrist (South Fremantle)
2 – Jamie Rust (Subiaco)
1 – Dana East (Swan Disticts)
