After four days of fast-paced action across the Perth and Peel regions, the 59th annual Nutrien Ag Solutions Country Football Championships wrapped up with a hard-fought Division One decider at Sullivan Logistics Stadium on Sunday.
The 2025 Championships saw 24 teams compete across five divisions, with South West retaining the prestigious Division One senior title with a tough grand final win over Peel Football Netball League at Sullivan Logistics Stadium on Sunday.
It came after Great Southern completed a remarkable redemption tale, jumping from Division Three to the top flight within two years after knocking off rivals Upper Great Southern in the Division Two decider.
The day started with a thrilling Division Three finale with Lower South West getting over the line against a fast-finishing Mortlock in a two-point thriller.
The CBH Group Colts winners were decided on Friday at The Good Grocer Park with Peel overcoming a brave South West to claim the Division One title.
Regional Districts, made up of players from the Upper Great Southern, Lower South West, Ongerup, Eastern Districts, Esperance and Goldfields competitions, caused an upset over the previously-undefeated Kimberley Spirit to snatch the Division Two championship.
Avon’s Kaidyn Fullgrabe won the prestigious Jock Coleman Medal for the fairest-and-best player in the Division One seniors, while there was an historic four-way tie in Division Two’s Bud Byfield Medal with Gus Devitt (Central Midlands Coastal), Justin Joyce (Ongerup) and Great Southern pair Morgan Davies and Isaac Baum unable to be separated.
The Jock Beattie Medal for Division Three’s MVP went to Lower South West’s David Cowan, while coach of the championships was won by South West’s Seth White.

“We couldn’t be happier with how everything panned out for the 59th Nutrien Ag Solutions Country Football Championships over the weekend,” WA Football’s Country Competitions Manager Brent Sheridan said.
“It was fantastic to see five divisions across Nutrien Ag Solutions Seniors and CBH Group Colts for the first time in several years, with 25 teams competing from Kimberley in the north to Esperance in the south.
“The event was really well received by those attending at one of our eight venues or watching the live stream on Streamer which was broadcast to homes across the State.
“A special thanks goes to our majors sponsors in Nutrien Ag Solutions Seniors and CBH Group Colts.
“It was the 51st year Nutrien Ag Solutions had partnered with us and we’re extremely grateful for their ongoing support in helping keep the biggest event on the WA country football calendar thriving.
“We also had an incredible 60-plus umpires come from all parts of the State to officiate our 51 games across four days as well as a countless number of team volunteers.”
Sheridan said the New Holland Men’s State Country Football Team would be announced next Monday ahead of the massive annual clash against South Australia Country at Sullivan Logistics Stadium on Saturday, July 26.
“We look forward to seeing our New Holland Men’s State Country Football Team in action against South Australia at Sullivan Logistics Stadium in Leederville on Saturday 26 July,” he said.
“We believe it will be a really competitive team filled with plenty of players from across country WA who stood out over the Championships.”
