School holidays have been off to an exciting start with more than 100 boys and girls aged between five and 12 years participating in a South Fremantle District School Holiday Clinic hosted by the WA Football Commission District Football Development Council at Santich Park in Munster, the home of South Coogee Junior Football Club.
West Coast Eagles players Elliot Yeo, Jonathan Giles, Kane Lucas, Brad Sheppard, Dom Sheed and Tom Barrass and 15 South Fremantle Colts players were all on hand to share their skills and assist the juniors during the skill workshops and games and also sign autographs for their junior football fans.
South Fremantle District Development Officer Regan Atkinson said the kids loved meeting their footy heroes.
“The purpose of the clinic was for the kids to enjoy their footy by participating in mini games and drills, along with meeting and interacting with West Coast Eagles and South Fremantle players,” Mr Atkinson said.
The clinic was a great success and with further assistance from SEDA students, the next clinic will take place in July during the school holidays.
