PEEL Thunder’s Michael Humble last night became the first player from his club to win the WAFL Redimed Colts Jack Clarke Medal in a thrilling vote count at Domain Stadium.
The result came down to the final round when Humble was tied on 40 votes with Claremont’s Jacob Sideris and South Fremantle’s Shai Bolton.
Humble polled three votes in Peel Thunder’s Round 23 game against Claremont with 30 possessions and a goal, while Sideris was playing Reserves and Bolton didn’t poll in his side’s loss to Perth.
Bolton’s South Fremantle team mate Dylan Brown polled 4 votes to join Bolton and Sideris on 40 votes in a tight finish to the count.
Humble, originally from South Mandurah, polled votes in 12 of his 15 Redimed Colts games which included three best on ground performances. He averaged 25 disposals and five tackles and kicked seven goals.
He also played two League and two Reserves games for Peel Thunder in 2016.
