The West Australian Football League will honour the 2020 Optus WAFL and WAFLW Premiership Season’s fairest and best players when the Sandover Medal and Dhara Kerr Medal are presented on Tuesday night, September 29 from 7-10pm.

The event will be livestreamed on the WA Footy Official Youtube Channel and WAFL Facebook page and broadcast live by SportFM 91.3fm.

The Sandover Medal has been awarded each season since 1921 to the fairest and best player in the WAFL competition. In 2020 it will be presented by Ian Sandover, great grandson of the original donor of the medal, Mr Alfred Sandover. The centenary of the Sandover Medal will be celebrated in 2021.

Past winners

The Dhara Kerr Medal originated in 1988 as the fairest and best award in the WA Women’s Football League. It was carried across to the new WAFL Women’s State League competition last season. This year it will be presented for the first time at the same event as the Sandover Medal.
