Mark And Goal Of The Year Finalists Confirmed

WA Football has confirmed the five finalists for the Kia Mark of the Year and the Electrical Group Training Goal of the Year.

The West Coast Eagles have two Kia nominations with Sasha Kernutt and Jack Hutchinson both claiming spectacular marks at Mineral Resources Park, while Jamaine Jones and Kane Johnston displayed their athleticism with big grabs in Round 8 and 9 respectively.

East Perth’s Ben Middleton earned a place in the top five with a superb mark running back with the flight at Steel Blue Oval in Round 14 against Swan Districts.

The EGT goal contenders include a brilliant solo effort from Swans small forward Jack McLaughlan in Round 2, West Perth’s Kane Bevan’s eye-catching move before converting at Steel Blue Oval in Round 3, Subiaco Stefan Giro’s centre circle clearance and goal in Round 5, an amazing goal off the ground by Perth’s Riley Wills in Round 6 and a brilliant long-range effort from Peel’s Jeremy Sharp in Round 9.

The player who claims the Kia Mark of the Year will receive $5000 as will the recipient of the EGT Goal of the Year.

The winners will be announced at the 2026 Sullivan Logistics WAFL Grand Final at Optus Stadium on Sunday, September 20.
