The Mundella WA State Under 23s team played in two very closely fought battles against Queensland in the NAB AFL Women’s Under 23 games held in Brisbane on June 9 and 11.

In the first clash held at Leyshon Park in Yeronga, the WA side showed resilience and determination for the entirety of the match, but Queensland proved to be too strong and ran out winners with a score of 5.9 (39) to WA’s 2.5 (17).

The second clash at Ord Minnett Oval in Broadbeach was played with high intensity and the strength of the Queensland side proved too great for WA, running out 6.7 (43) to 2.4 (16) winners.
