Western Australia’s State 18s claimed their first win of the NAB AFL National 18s Championships with a 32 point victory against Victoria Country in Geelong today, Friday June 29.

WA kicked the first four goals of the game to lead from start to finish and register the 11.10 (76) to 6.8 (44) win.

Jarrod Cameron, pictured, starred in the forward line for WA with five goals – one in every quarter and two in the second. Luke Foley, Mitchell Georgiades, Tyron Smallwood, Dylan O’Reilly, Tom Medhat and Luke English all added singles.

English, 25 possessions, Jordan Clark, 23, Rylie Morgan, 23 and Sydney Stack, 22, provided great run and rebound for WA to help set up the win.

Victoria Country reduced the margin to 12 points at half time after staging a comeback in the second quarter before WA pushed ahead again the second half and capped off the win with Jarrod Cameron kicking the final goal of the game.
